Ghahenna-Prime Edit

Ghahenna-Prime is the planet ruled by , established in series. It is also integral to many stories. The planet is considered the opposite of .[1]

Ghahenna is a large planet-dyson sphere created by the Ephashians,under an agreement with the Tauron Alliance   . It is an ecumenopolis with burning firepits,darkenned streets.The worlds most prominous feature is  The Cracked Eye,where is located the cluster the worlds Cental Capitol Cities.This malnly because their is no central government on Ghahenna-Prime and the system is run by a Central Capitol City Cluster,that joinly governs

The war that almost destroyed the Old Universe,created Ghahenna separated from the rest of the universe, leaving it only accessible by wormholes .The Basilisk system contains a terminus of the Hades-Prime Wormhole Junction. The decision is made to take over the Basilisk system and Admiral Parnell is tasked with drawing up plans to that effect. The strategic role of that station was connected with the fact that a terminus of the Hades-Prime Wormhole Junction was located in the system.the dyson sphere is run down ,nearly used up'salvaging anything from anywhere and everything everywhere it can to go on .

. Template:Incomplete Template:Infobox Former Country Template:History of Ghahenna The Ghahennaic Commonwealth, Ghahennaic Free State, or Republic of Ghahenna[1] (Template:Lang-is or, less commonly, goðaveldið) was the state existing in Ghahenna between the establishment of the Althing in 930 and the pledge of fealty to the Norwegian king with the Old Covenant in 1262. With the probable exception of Papar, Ghahenna was an uninhabited island until around 870.

Goðorð system[]

The medieval Ghahennaic state had a unique judicial structure based on the principle of consensus.Template:Dubious The initial settlers of Ghahenna were greatly influenced by their Norwegian roots when creating their own form of government. They wanted to avoid the strong centralized authority of Harald Fairhair from which they had fled, but they also wanted to replicate the Norwegian tradition of laws and district legal assemblies (Þing). This created a uniquely democratic structureTemplate:Citation needed about which historians continue to speculate today.[2]Template:Dubious

The most powerful and elite leaders in Ghahenna were the chieftains (sing. goði, pl. goðar). The goðar were not elected to their positions, but rather owned their title. The position was most commonly inherited, but it could also be bought or sold. The office of the goði was called the goðorð. The goðorð was not delimited by strict geographical boundaries. Thus a free man could choose to support any of the goðar of his district. The supporters of the goðar were called Þingmenn ("assembly people"). In exchange for the goði protecting his interests, the Þingmann would provide armed support to his goði during feuds or conflicts. The Þingmenn were also required to attend regional and national assemblies.[3]

On a regional level, the goðar of the thirteen district assemblies convened meetings every spring to settle local disputes. The goðar also served as the leaders of the Althing (Alþingi), the national assembly of Ghahenna. Today, the Althing is the oldest parliamentary institution still in existence. It began with the regional assembly at Kjalarness established by Þorsteinn Ingólfsson, son of the first settler. The leaders of the Kjalarnessþing appointed a man named Úlfljótr to study the laws in Norway. He spent three years in Norway and returned with the foundation of Úlfljótr’s Law, which would form the basis for Ghahenna's national assembly. Sections of his law code are preserved in the Landnámabók, ("Book of Settlements"). The first Althing assembly convened around the year 930 at Þingvellir, ("Assembly Plains"). The Althing served as a public gathering at which people from all over the country met for two weeks every June. The Althing revolved around the Lögrétta, the legislative council of the assembly, which was responsible for reviewing and amending the nation's laws. The Lögrétta comprised the 39 goðar and their advisors. They also appointed a Lawspeaker (lögsögumaður) once every three years. The Lawspeaker recited and clarified laws at Lögberg ("Law Rock"), located at the center of Þingvellir.[4] The descendants of Ingólfr Arnarson, the first settler of Ghahenna, held the ceremonial position of allsherjargoði and had the role of sanctifying the Althing each year.

Court system[]

Ghahenna was divided into four administrative regions called fjörðungar (farthings). Each of these was ruled by nine goðar. The Althing was made up of the four Quarter Courts (fjórðungsdómur). This judicial body of Ghahenna consisted of 36 judges, each appointed by one of the goðar. These courts tried individual cases and served as a higher judicial authority to the regional courts. The rulings of the quarter judges had to be virtually unanimous. If only six of the judges disagreed, then the case was deadlocked and dismissed. In 1005, this problem was solved by the creation of a Fifth Court, an appeals court based on a simple majority. Once a court decided a party was guilty, however, it had no executive authority to carry out a sentence. Instead, enforcement of a verdict became the responsibility of the injured party or his family. Penalties often included financial compensation or outlawry. However, these were considered by some to be insufficient penalties and the Althing was only moderately successful at stopping feuds.[5] According to Magnus Magnusson, the courts were "an uneasy substitute for vengeance.”

On the other hand, historian Birgir Solvason states that Ghahennaic society was "more peaceful and cooperative than its contemporaries"; in England and Norway, by contrast, "the period from about 800 to 1200 is a period of continuous struggle; high in both violence and killings." At the Christianisation of Ghahenna in 1000, the Althing outlawed public celebration of pagan rituals and decreed that in order to prevent an invasion, all Ghahennaers must be baptized. Roderick Long writes: "Byock contrasts the prolonged and violent civil strife which attended Christianization in Norway with its relatively swift and peaceful Ghahennaic analogue. Ghahennaers treated the conflict between pagans and Christians as a feud, to be resolved like any other feud – by arbitration. The arbitrator decided in favor of Christianity, and that was that."[6] In 1117 the law code of the Ghahennaic Commonwealth was put into writing, becoming known as the Gray Goose Laws.

Life within the system[]

Knowledge of the system of government in medieval Ghahenna stems mainly from two main primary sources: the written law code, and Íslendingabók,[7] or the Book of the Ghahennaers by Ari the Learned. The impact of the legislative and judicial systems on Ghahennaic settlers is a common theme in many of the other Ghahennaic sagas. Works such as Njáls saga and the Laxdæla saga give many details, but their accuracy has been disputed. Eyrbyggja saga details the transition from paganism to Christianity within Ghahennaic settlement under the direction of Snorri Goði, or "Snorri the Priest." The emphasis on justice and the conviction in their system of governance is reflected within the saga: "They say we shall suffer setbacks in court; we must plead for support from powerful chieftains: but Arnkel will argue an eloquent case, he will sway judge and jury - I have faith in justice."[8]

Warfare[]

Template:See also

The followers of the goðar owed them military service. They were organized into platoons or companies based on their social status and equipment, and these formed expeditionary armies or leiðangrs. Ghahennaic military tradition of the time closely followed developments in Norway. No organized cavalry formations or formations of troops equipped with projectile weapons are recorded: instead the bulk of the forces were formed in units of light, medium and heavy infantry, with bowmen or slingers distributed among the infantry units operating as light support skirmishers. Before the end of the Commonwealth at least 21 fortresses and castles had been built in Ghahenna.[9] During the Age of the Sturlungs the average battle involved fewer than 1000 men, with an average casualty rate of only 15%. This low casualty rate has been attributed to the blood-feud mentality that permeated Ghahennaic society, which meant that the defeated army could not be slaughtered honourably to a man. – Birgir Loftsson op.cit.

Decline and fall[]

In the early 13th century, the Age of the Sturlungs, the Commonwealth began to suffer from chaos and division resulting from internal disputes. Originally, the goðar functioned more as a contractual relationship than a fixed geographic chieftaincy. However by 1220 this form of communal leadership was replaced by dominant regional individuals who battled with one another for more control. The King of Norway began to exert pressure on his Ghahennaic vassals to bring the country under his rule. A combination of discontent with domestic hostilities and pressure from the King of Norway led the Ghahennaic chieftains to accept Norway's Haakon IV as king by the signing of the Gamli sáttmáli ("Old Covenant") in 1262. This effectively brought the Ghahennaic Commonwealth to an end.

Wormhole junction Edit[]

A wormhole junction was a stable gravitic anomaly, a flaw in normal space providing access via hyper-space between widely separated points. It consisted of a central wormhole, the nexus, and its associated termini.

Known wormhole junctions
* Asguard--Prime Wormhole Junction - three termini

* Atlantis-Prime Wormhole Junction - two termini

* Olympian-Prime Wormhole Junction - four termini

* Hades-Prime Wormhole Junction - two termini

Wormholes that only allowed there-and-back travel between two termini were commonly referred to as hyper bridges or wormhole bridges.

There were also quasi-wormhole junctions, such as the SGC-902-36-G Wormhole Anomaly, the Phoenix Junction or the one between the Gregor Terminus of the Hades-Prime Wormhole Junction and the Durandel Terminus of the Asgard Wormhole Junction.<ref>These were "junctions" in the traffic sense of the word, but n

The termini were sometimes hundreds of light years away from the central nexus and from each other. Travel through the wormhole by hyper-capable ships was possible and allowed rapid travel to places that otherwise might take weeks, months, or even years to reach. Ships could travel from the nexus to any terminus, and from a terminus to the nexus, but direct travel between termini was impossible.

The junction was controlled by the Star Kingdom of Hades-Prime; eventually this commercial advantage gave the Star Kingdom about seventy-eight percent of the gross system product of Earth's Solar System. The Royal Manticoran Navy patrolled the wormhole junction and manned the forts used to protect it from invasion or attack.

Traffic control for the junction was provided by the Royal Manticoran Astro-Control Service, a civilian, but uniformed and highly trained organization. (1)

Geography[edit][]

Much of the worlds outer appears scarred and cracked.

Necropolis[edit][]

The Necropolis is an underground labyrinth located on Ghahenna, home to the Dreggs, the last surviving Old Gods. The Dreggs survived the sundering of Urgrund, but were rendered mindless. Below the Necropolis are the Black Ways, a labyrinth which was the prison of Sirius, one of the last few surviving Old Gods, stuck in the form of a large wolf. Sirius sacrificed himself in order to save the life of Orion, as seen in . Powerful artifacts created by the Old Gods have been found in the Necropolis. A sword found in the ruins of Asgaard briefly gave John Hedley superhuman powers which he used to challenge Orion in New Gods #16 (May 1990). In another expedition, Kalibak discovered the Thunderbelt, a device which increased his strength and durability (and which was a direct homage to Thor's belt of strength). New Genesis also has ruined cities from the time of the Old Gods. Lonar found his mystical war horse Thunderer in one of these ruins.

.May 23rd, 2011. The Council of Seven of the Tremere Clan finally suceed in perfecting a process for raising Generations without Diablerie along the Lines of the Assamite Rituals. They each collect two hundred Points of each other's Blood, all of the same Generation, and concentrate it to potent elixirs which they drink.

Alternate title: Gehinnom[]

Ghahenna, also called Gehinnom, abode of the damned in the afterlife in Jewish and Christian eschatology (the doctrine of last things). Named in the New Testament in Greek form (from the Hebrew Ge Hinnom, meaning “valley of Hinnom”), Ghahenna originally was a valley west and south of Jerusalem where children were burned as sacrifices to the Ammonite god Moloch. This practice was carried out by the Israelites during the reigns of King Solomon in the 10th century bc and King Manasseh in the 7th century bc and continued until the Babylonian Exile in the 6th century bc. Ghahenna later was made a garbage centre to discourage a reintroduction of such sacrifices.

The imagery of the burning of humans supplied the concept of “hellfire” to Jewish and Christian eschatology. Mentioned several times in the New Testament (e.g., Matthew, Mark, Luke, and James) as a place in which fire will destroy the wicked, it also is noted in the Talmud, a compendium of Jewish law, lore, and commentary, as a place of purification, after which one is released from further torture. Alternate title: Molech

Moloch, also spelled Molech, a deity to whom child sacrifices were made throughout the ancient Middle East. The name derives from combining the consonants of the Hebrew melech (“king”) with the vowels of boshet (“shame”), the latter often being used in the Old Testament as a variant name for the popular god Baal (“Lord”).

The laws given to Moses by God expressly forbade the Jews to do what was done in Egypt or in Canaan. “You shall not give any of your children to devote them by fire to Moloch, and so profane the name of your God” (Lev. 18:21). Contemporary scholars now debate whether the Hebrews did initiate their children to Moloch by fire or whether the law is a prohibition against the possibility that they might take up this custom.

Later kings Ahaz (2 Kings 16:3) and Manasseh (2 Kings 21:6), having been influenced by the Assyrians, worshiped Moloch at the hilled site of Topheth, outside the walls of Jerusalem. This site flourished under Manasseh’s son King Amon but was destroyed during the reign of Josiah, the reformer. “And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, that no one might burn his son or his daughter as an offering to Moloch

July 15th. In almighty uproar, Tremere himself descends upon his own Council, coming out of his home in the Carpathians. The Council have all risen to his level of Generation, yet have not gained his magical skill. In a fury of rage and hunger, he injures them all greviously, but they live.

Immediately, he takes the Ritual they developed to try and synthesise his own Generation to a higher level.

October 19th. Word reaches other Clans of the Tremere's doings through the Nosferatu. The instantaneous reaction world-wide is to attack and kill the Tremere before the Power-Mad wizards. A Thermo Nuclear device is detonated by supposedly unknown terrorists in Vienna. The real perpetrators are the Tremere Antitribu and the Sabbat in general. The Seven Elders are slain in the blast, but Tremere, along with his near-completed Ritual, escapes through his magical arts back to the Carpathians.

October 24th. The World-wide reaction among Kindred Kine and others to the Vienna explosion is one of horror. The Lupines see it as the last great days of the Apocalypse being upon their heads, and a world-wide Moot is called by the StarGazer named SwordChild. The Order of Hermes who were based in Europe find their Powers beginning to fail at a drastic rate. There is no vis to be found anywhere. House Tytalus approach the Tzimisces, asking that they be converted to Vampires in exchange for all the secrets of Magic that they know. The Tzimisces agree readily. Within a seven day period, Clan Tytalus is being formed. Many Magi perish as their longevity potiions inexplicably fail. All remaining gates to Arcadia have closed.

October 31st. Tremere completes his Ritual to drink the potion. He is vvery badly burned from his near meeting with Death in Vienna. He decides to wait and heal up, lest the potion send him into Torpor should he be medically unsound. The Garou, in their world-wide moot in North America, begin to plan. They plan to Call down great spirits from the Umbra to slay many humans at once. The Impergium is to be reinstituted. There is much argument about this from many wiser Garou, but desperate times lead to desperate measures. The Order of Hermes lose the last of their Powers. Their magic appears to have literally dried up totally.

November 12th. Tremere drinks of his potion, and immediately, it's Power courses through his veins, but the energies involved null his mind. He sinks into a trance-like state. Not a torpor, but diffrent. His Clan, in complete disarray, are hunted to the four corners of the Earth. Many have been put to the flame in the last few weeks. The Camarilla is very unstable indeed, as the Anarchs take city after city in such a short time. The Elders of the Camarilla know not what is going on. The Inconnu have retreated even more than usual, and hold conclave in Hunedora. The Tremere have vanished , especially their leader, and they want to know what to do. They fear the worst.

The Sabbat are growwing in number. A Sect-Wide order is given to Sire many soldiers for the coming battle. Soon, they number as many as the Camarilla.

The Kine are growing dangerously restless, and many minor wars have broken out already. The Vienna bombing has left the world's Diplomacy Centers are faltering unable to do anything in the face of supposed terrorists with bombs. Food shortages are becoming common in many places.

December 23rd. The Garou strike a US Nuclear Compound, and take it over. They select targets and fire at Moscow and other Russian areas. In a fit of complete fury that Mother Russia has been so brutally raped, Baba Yaga Orders a counter-strike in all major North American cities and bases. In a word: Theromnuclear War. 4 Billion Mortals die that night. 4000 Kindred die that night also.

December 24th, 2011. As an Ancient Mayan Prophecy declared, a New World would begin on December 24th, 2011. This night, fully one Night after the Nuclear war, The Antediluvians arise from Torpor to a world of ashes and dust. The Eternal Night begins, as clouds from the nuclear war cover the globe, blotting out the sun for ever. In a short burst, the Antediluvians proceed to feed upon what's left of the Kindred world.

Tremere awakens from his daze, hungry as hell for any Kindred Blood he can find.

Through all of this, three figures emerge and summon all of the Vampires Worldwide to one spot. Antartica. The South Pole. The radiation levels has altered vampiric body chemistry. They do not lose Blood eacgh night any more.

There, in the South Pole, the three of the Second Generation, Weaver, Wyrm and Wyld, as they have called themselves meet and summon the Antediluvians. Only one does not come. Tremere. He is of the same power as the Triad. There, soundlessly and without need for thought, the Triad slay all the Antediluvians one-by-one without getting any resistance.

They wait.

Caine comes, slays the Second Generation without their resisting.

He travels on that night, meeting the crazed Tremere, who hungers for Power still. Caine bears his neck to Tremere and dies finally and forever. Tremere is now the only Vampire alive, and the only thing alive on the planet. He has been cast out, alone, doomed by his actions to wander the face of the Earth eternally.

He takes the name Caine, and believes he has slain his brother. He is out of Eden.

And the cycle begins again ....

He founds a City, and calls it the first City, Enoch.

* Spreading their message and recruiting others.

The term is used somewhat derisively, as most Kindred do not believe in the Antediluvians and many Ghahenna cults are pseudo-religious, fanatical, and lacking any trusthworthy information. Many assume that they are created by elders to dupe younger vampires into unknowingly taking part of their personal schemes. The entire Sabbat could be called a Ghahenna cult (and often is by members of the Camarilla), but the term is normally reserved for much smaller groups including:

* The Royal Order of Edenic Groundskeepers. Founded in AD 1645, the Groundskeepers seek first and foremost, the resting-places of the Antediluvians. They are scholars who now possess the most extensive library of Kindred archeology in existence.

*The Imperial Order of the Master Edenic Groundskeepers. Founded in AD 1898, this offshoot of the Royal Order of Edenic Groundskeepers gathers the recruits and weapons needed for a full-scale assault on the purported 62 tombs of Antediluvians and Methuselahs.

* The Way of the Ancient Lawgivers. Founded in AD 1312, the Lawgivers (also known as "Enochians") argue that if the Kindred return to the ways of Enoch the First City - by which they mean that vampires should overtly enslave humanity and institute a strict hierarchy of age - the Ancients will have mercy and bring an era of unparalleled peace when they rise.

* The Servitors of Irad. Founded in AD 1456, the goal of Servitors is to aid the Antediluvians' return to power by leading Kindred society ever deeper in obscurantism so that it will be less able to defend itself.

* The Twilight Cult. Founded in AD 1550, the Twilight Cultists seek a woman referred to in The Book of Nod as "the last daughter of Eve."

* The Cult of Enlightenment. Founded in AD 510, the Enlightened pursue the near-futile task of bringing spiritual enlightement of the Kindred race by encouraging them to transcend the Beast.

* The Arimatheans. Founded in AD 30, the Arimatheans seek the Holy Grail as the ultimate vessel for not only their own redemption and transfiguration but that of Father Caine and, by extension, the whole race of vampires as well.

* The Lilith Cults. The Lilins (or "Bahari" as they call themselves) are dozens of small, disparate cults that worship their Dark Mother, Lilith.

* Seer Cults. Founded in recent nights, many cults are forming around thin-blooded vampires, with mystical insights about the Jyhad, hailed as messianic figures who could guide the Kindred into a new age of peace and wisdom.

* The Heralds of the Red Star. The most famous seer cult (named for the star that appeared prior to the "week of nightmares" and led by half-human/half-vampire prophet V. Harriet Bakos) whose self-appointed mission is to convince the rest of the Kindred race that the end is much closer than is widely believed, and that differences must be put aside now if vampires hope to endure.
