He risks his own safety and reputation to achieve safety for those he cares about, but this dedication eventually destroys his life. Detective John Hadiman's marriage is in a constant state of crisis, his vigilantism and disregard for authority have put him in danger of losing his job more than once, and he is a chain-smoker who is described as "two steps away from becoming a full blown alcoholic," which Hardiman jokingly upgrades to only "one step.John Hardiman seems to allows himself to at the wrong place at the right time,especially when trouble seems to start.He's been trapped in a skyscapper full of Kalladon Terrorist,Joohn Hardiman discovers that mercenaries have seized control of Washington Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.. They take control of the airport's communications and threaten to cause plane crashes unless their demands are met. Holly is traveling on one of the planes and is stranded as her plane circles overhead. Hardiman foils the scheme.Holly and John Hardiman have separated and the Omega Warrior has moved back to New York City. Holly Gennaro (formerly Holly Gennaro McClane) is the wife of John McClane. Over the course of the series their relationship becomes more and more strained and by the fourth film, they are divorced. They have two children together, John Jr. and Lucy.
Hartiman possesses a seemingly indomitable will, able to withstand multiple bullet wounds without collapsing, and most notably being capable of willing himself back to life after being hanged.
