That pretty sums up what happened to starbuck no?

Another description: "The Ship of Lights is significantly faster than any known spacecraft, and appears to have the ability to simply show up wherever needed instantly. Its drive system emits an extremely loud sound which somehow travels through the void of space and can be heard by people in nearby spaceships. Could this have been the cause of the fleet losing power just as starbuck arrived? Not to mention the sudden headache that the President got?

Also when Starbuck first entered the Malstrom she was rendered unconscious also where she had the lovely conversation with head Leoben.

"The ship is crewed by an apparently humanoid race who are never expressly referred to by name in the series, but who are called "Seraphs" in the scripts for the episodes in which they appear. The Seraphs appear to be noncorporeal sentients, and claim rather ambiguously to have once been more traditionally mortal, but evolved to their present state. In the episode "War of the Gods", the crew of the ship indicate they are the natural enemies of Count Iblis. Because it is strongly implied that Count Iblis may be the original basis for stories of Satan, this could imply the Ship Of Lights is meant to represent angels. However, this is not stated directly. On the other hand, the episode indicates very strongly that the Ship Of Lights is meant to be "good" and Iblis is meant to be "evil".

So in other words for some reason this "ship of lights" purposely lured starbuck in kept her for a couple of months to show her earth and then dropped her back with the fleet with no memories of meeting them.

This would explain how starbuck traveled such huge distances in a viper and why she can't remember anything about it.

To further back this up I remember an interview with RDM ages ago where he mentioned that they were thinking of ways to bring in the ship of lights so that is a definite conformation.

As to who these beings are I have a wild guess. They MAY be the 12 beings who the humans worship as gods. This could be purley by accedent and they don't want this role.

4000 years ago humans and these beings could have lived on Kobol together and since these beings are so advanced humans would naturally have thought of them as gods. Some sort of conflict could have taken place that caused the exodus from Kobol and humans to flee to the 12 colonies.

With the current situation these beings on the ship may be acting as that 3rd party that many of us suspected was there all along. It could be that Head Baltar, Head Six and Head Leoben are actually these beings trying to guide everyone on the right COURSE. Six has always said that she is "an angel of god sent to help" Baltar.

In fact Starbuck herself might be one of these beings as they have hinted she is playing out the roll of one of the gods and head Leoben encouraged her to "join the others" when she went into the Maelstrom.

The Cylon "god" or aka first hybrid also warned that starbuck will lead to the end of humanity could have been a lie as he may be a god but more like a satan role where humanity winning means cylons losing. These 12 gods/beings on the ship of light could be in conflict with the "one true God" which could be a malevolent entity trying to play god.

So again it seems there is a whole other story of Gods fighting for supremacy.

It rememinds me of the first episode of Star Trek Voyager where the "caretaker" accedently caused damage to a planets atmospher and from that point on send the planet energy to make up for the mistake. The people on that planet worshiped him as a god.

It could be that these 12 beings on the ship of light are somehow feeling responsible for the original conflict 2000 years ago and are now playing the side lines to make sure humanity is put on the right path without getting directly involved.

Anyway, that's the rough idea I think. Thoughts?

Lilith Staryder The Queen of Angels was the monarch of Heaven. She and the other Angels waged a war against Asgard.

During a battle against Odin, Freyja and the Einherjar in Heven, the Queen of Angels snuck into Asgard and got hold of Odin's newborn, Aldrif. She showed herself in front of Odin and Freyja, and demanded they retreated or Aldrif was to die. Odin refused to surrender to blackmail, for which the Queen seemingly killed Aldrif by stabbing her in the heart. She then fled.

After Angela was brought to Earth-616, she made her way towards Earth to take revenge on whoever brought her there. She was angry, confused, and unknowing as to why she was pulled from her time/space/home. She appeared on the Guardians of the Galaxy's Earth signal. Resonance and Dissonance Edit

Being the most divine Choir, their resonance is for the Truth -- that is, the true nature of the Symphony itself. Seraphimean trained tell the Truth for periods of time, and judge the statements (sometimes also the non-spoken implications) of others according to that standard.

It is dissonant for a Seraphean cannot lie or atleast according their Code of Honor refuse to lie.Lying in their culture is considered an act of dishonoring the Seraphean Way. They can misdirect, refuse to answer, or respond with partial truths, but outright lying is a sign of a Seraphean starting to slip away from their resonance. Aptitudes

While it's not necessarily formalized, all else being equal, Seraphean are generally expected to take the lead in angelic matters. They can sometimes come across as a little arrogant...which is particularly problematic when it dovetails with how inept they can be in corporeal affairs. (Lies of all sorts pervade the human world, and many Seraphim just can't deal with it.)

Using their resonance, Seraphean are cosmic investigators of the finest caliber. When performing at their best, the Serheans can essentially investigate until all possible implications can logically found in the universe itself what has happened and is happening. And, of course, plain old interrogation is generally child's play for a Seraphean.

The Seraphic ability to tap into the Truth on a CD 6+ is limited by the extent to which the person speaking is involved in the matter. To act as a conduit to Truth, the speaker must be at least somewhat connected to the topic. Furthermore, the Truth that is revealed may be limited based on said connection. Thus, a Seraph cannot simply divine any fact by talking with any person -- but once they find the right people, they can learn a lot.

A Seraph (or seraphim) is a six-winged angel. They are known to be the being closest to God. Some people say that a Seraph is a warrior of Heaven. It is known they use their bottom two wings to cover their feat, the middle to fly, and the top two to cover their eyes in the glory of God.


Serapheans are somewhat wingless angels, traveling in a large spacecraft most commonly referred to as the Ship of Lights,also known as Seraphean Light Ships. the Serapheans are the same angelic "Beings of Light" or Lords of Light mentioned in "The Book of the Word", the dominant Colonial Alliance Scripture, and that these beings have played a part in human society.They are also known as Protector Lords of Light in some circles.

Ships of Light - The ships are vessels controlled by friendly figures with angelic personage,known as Serapheans,have apart of the Lords of Light interstellar mythology almost since it's beginnings.The Lords of Light are beatified humans or deities,who originated in the so called Old Maveric Universe and maybe that the whole lord of Light term originated with other encounters with the Protector Lords. .

 Lights or Stars in the Sky-actually not deities,but three Seraphian Star Ships hovering in orbit day and night watching over the planet from time to time,as cultural observers and mission as Protector Lords of the Multiverve. The Seraphians   goal went from observation simple to the combat evil and create an orderly universe. And they acted quickly on that goal,since many of the space travelling Seraphian were of the Protector Lord/Guardian class-a kind of rapid deployment shock troopers,.

Later came identification of individual angelic messengers: Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and Uriel. "Seraphs." Seraph (plural: Seraphim) is the Hebrew word for Angel. Later Jewish imagery perceived them as having human form, and in that way they passed into the ranks of Christian angels. The Seraphian Protector Lords are sort of my version of Guardian Angels-The Guardian Angels is a non-profit, international, volunteer organization of unarmed citizen crime patrollers.A guardian angel is an angel assigned to protect and guide a particular person. The belief in guardian angels can be traced throughout all antiquity. The concept of tutelary angels and their hierarchy was extensively d wore white, appeared and disappeared suddenly, and spoke in riddles. Although never stated, it seems likely she was another Being of Light. (More than likely since her name literally means "female angel".)Angela is a female given name. The Banshee's Plasma Cannons, deemed "light", are still deadly: one bolt will instantly kill a lightly armored flesh based target. Even heavily armored targets like the SPARTAN-IIs can only withstand a few bolts before being killed. A direct hit from the Banshee's secondary Fuel Rod Cannon would instantly blow any flesh based target into bits of charred flesh. In the context of the Halo games, all of the plasma weapon's strength and lethality are compensated for both the sake of ESRB rating, and gameplay.


The Banshee is a versatile aircraft in the Seraphean's vehicular arsenal, and, in the control of an experienced pilot, can be extraordinarily difficult to take out. Its twin, rapid fire Plasma Cannons are exceptionally efficient at taking out individual infantry, and a single Fuel Rod the main cannon (campaign only for Halo 2)can make easy work of an entire group of enemy infantry. The boosting capability of the vehicle allows for quick entry and exit from combat situations, or to catch up to a particular target. Boosting also allows a pilot to outpace a homing projectile, or slip away from opposing vehicles and small arms fire. The boosting capability may also be used to ram your opponent to get an easy kill.Utilizing barrel rolls and flips, the Banshee is able to avoid slow moving projectiles at short or long range, while also facilitating quick turns around obstacles or close threats. As a support aircraft the Banshee is able to pin down enemy forces until ground forces can move in, or destroy light structures that may be obstructing ground forces from advancing.


The Banshee is lightly armored and thus vulnerable to high velocity rounds, explosives, anti-vehicle weaponry, and even moderate small arms fire from human projectile weaponry. The Banshee's low flight ceiling makes it very vulnerable to weapons like the M41 LAAG, can easily punch through the armor of the Banshee and injure or kill the pilot. The Banshee is also prone to EMP devices which can disable the craft either temporarily or permanently. Maneuvering the Banshee takes a considerable amount of skill to do, an unskilled pilot may crash the banshee into the ground or another oncoming object by accident.



Combat Evolved, besides another vehicle the rocket launcher is the only weapon powerful enough to down a Banshee with a single shot on the higher difficulty settings to increase your chances of defeating one without wasting your shots separate yourself from the rest of the action. You don't want to have to divide your attention between the Banshee and your surroundings. Once you are in a relatively sheltered position, focus entirely on downing the Banshee.

  • If need be get the Banshees attention with small arms fire with a capable weapon. Get the Banshee to turn and start a strafing run on your position; the pilot will not break off his run until he kills you, you kill him, or he gets very close to you.
  • Using the rocket launcher, when the banshee enters your range, aim slightly below the center of the "body", into an area that should be centered between the two cannons and slightly above them, and fire away. Because the banshee pilot will always strafe at a downward angle, he will fly directly into your oncoming rocket. Although one rocket will always bring down the Banshee, it is a good idea to have your launcher fully loaded with two rockets before you intend to use it. Also be aware that the Banshee will still have forward momentum after you bring it down, so watch out for it crashing because it can kill you ruining a good move.
  • On the level Halo you can use the pistol to take down the Banshee, it will take 20 rounds to take it down, but by staying in the downed life-pod and shooting it at close range you'll be able to take one down.


As the Seraphean's main space-based attack fighter, the Seraphean Star Fighters has been known to be utilized as an air superiority fighter, but are clumsy and sluggish within an atmosphere, indicating that such a capability is only a secondary role and that the Banshee fills the gap left by the Seraph's sluggish maneuvering and less than aerodynamic design while in an atmosphere.Faster and possessing vastly more powerful ordnance than the Banshee, the Seraph poses a significant aerial threat.

The Seraph features a piscine, teardrop-like design, fitting with the overall design elegance the Covenant are known for. Seraph fighters are mostly stored in the hangar bays of Covenant ships or stations when they are not in battle or escorting a ship.

Seraphs have demonstrated that they are an effective counter-weapon against Longsword fighters. As they usually attack in formations of ten, their assaults on enemy ships range from simple harassment, to full out strafing attacks. They have also been seen patrolling in pairs. Unlike the Banshee or Phantom, Seraphs are equipped with energy shields, but these are only a fraction of the strength of those on larger ships and are easily dispersed.

It is assumed that Seraph fighters can be piloted by a single Sangheili, succeeded by the Jiralhanae after the Great Schism.

The Seraph is armed with a variety of weapons. Seraphs are seen firing a heavy plasma cannon, and are also armed with a pulse laser and plasma charges for strafing and bomb runs. A Seraph's bombing runs are very deadly, as evidenced attempted destruction of a factory as The energy weapons the Seraph is equipped with delivers a hard punch to anything it attacks, such as Pelican dropships, and Albatross heavy dropships, and when dueling with the air-superiority fighters.

The Seraph fighter is both powerful and fast, even able to fly in the hurricane force winds of the gas giant Threshold.
